When you do it right (I understand this is a video and will look different to us regardless) nighttime looks proper dark and daytime looks really bright. In Phantom Pain anyways but I imagine it's the same on both games. Rain at nighttime in Africa is beautiful and is really dark, but you have to fiddle with the settings until those 2 dogs on the brightness adjustment screen are barely visible at the brightest possible setting. Do that and it will look like a whole new game, HDR is not simply a light gimmick, it's deeper colors.
